    Hi,
I wanted to define how and where the files of 'my' user def. language should be compiled to compile them.
But I have to realize that I have no option to do this - except writing my own script?

    I don't understand that!!
Practically all defined languages of npp are program-languages which will be compiled sooner or later!
So wouldn't it be kind of natural that for all these languages I should be able to set their corresponding compiler??

In the setting-windows where I define 'my' own language I should be able to set paths to the corresponding compiler, where the errors-log-files are place and so on of this language?

And of course I should be able to start a compilation of the file being edited now?

    Really, really surprising!
    Gooly

    Hi xsxs,

Notepad++ is a text editor, not an IDE. There is another Scintilla editor that fits better to your needs, as it offers means to call compiler directly from editor. Thus it falls in the middle between text editor and IDE.

    Grab it here: http://www.geany.org/
