It would be nice if we had an "X" button or icon on the top right so that we can close the document in a single click.

As of now, i should either use Ctl+W or right mouse click and select "close me".

      OK, I'll consider it.

But it won't be absolutly priority.

I 2nd this notion....not essential, but would be nice.

FWIW, I am a new user of notepad++, and the absense of the 'X' close button on top right kinda threw me at first.

yes a quicker way to manage tabs is desired. Perhaps middle or right- click to close (a user configurable option?), or a close icon as mentioned.

      Ctrl-F4 closes the current tab.

      Regards.
      Greg

    • Or how about double clicking the tab?
I'm so used of doing this with mozilla and firefox ;)

    • Ctrl+w closes the current tab

      (imho)...:
      - it's ENOUTH for work with keyboard
      - clicking with mouse is bad habit (?)
      - adding more bells&whistles not neccesary if U want to have light thing

      regards

X button on upper right corner to close the current file will be in v3.5

      Don

    • That's great although I usu. use Ctrl+W.
Thanks. But when will v3.5 come out?
