This was my all time favorite everyday finger-saver feature in TextPad.
For many reptitive tasks, where lines are more or less uniform, for example when adding tabs or characters to a line,
it was great to be able to simply move the cursor up/down and have it go to the end/begining of the next line, not simply drop straight down or go straight up.
The way it is now, I have to move the cursor over manually, and it kills my finger pressing the left/right arrows so many times, not to mention time consuming.
Thanks, and best regards,
As far as I know, you only have to do that once: move the cursor to the end or beginning of the line. Move it to the beginning before you move up or down. Move it to the end after you reached your destination line.
Can you imagine what a pain it would be for users who like the current behavior, if they had to move the cursor back to where it was horizontally for each line they move up or down?
