Hi! I have searched around here and found this issue, but without any solution yet.

I want to associate NP++ with some file types like .txt, .css, *.log,...NP++ takes the changes in the Settings - File Associations -Menu. But after closing and reopening the settings are gone again and reset to the default. Could be a security issue (rights, but where :-((), in my last installation (W7 32bit) this problem didn´t occur. Now I have W7 Ult 64bit and got this annoying problem. Any advice for me?

    • Hi,
Have you try to start Notepad++ with Administrator Privilege ? I have had
your issue and fix it with Admin Priviledge.

Hi, thanks for the advice, seems to work. When I start NP++ the associations are like I wished them (even without changeing them!!!). After a restart in user modus they stay as wished.

But I believe that there is definitely a bug in NP++, I never had a problem before with Win 7 32 bit., only now with the fresh install of Win 7 64bit.

        Viele Grüße aus Deutschland!
