I just wanted to suggest a bugfix with your current release, not a big deal, but it took me a while to understand.
The fact is that I was trying to edit a file located in a remote Debian directory shared with samba, but I couldn't save my work and went on getting the error "Check wether the file is open in another process".
Now that is a bit confusing.
The problem was that the file was created by user "root" and thus the user "samba" could read it, but he couln't save his modifications.
A shot of chmod solved the thing, but the error message is very confusing for someone not quite familiar with Linux.
I am pretty sure that changing the error text to the simpler "You don't have the permissions to save this file" will save an hour or so to someone.
