After a specific series of events I accidentally caused notepad to completely crash. Luckily I remember exactly what happened:

  1. Create a new file and save it.
  2. Go to File -> Save As
  3. In the window that opens with Save As delete the old file
  4. When the notepad pop up comes up saying "The file no longer exists remove from editor?" (or something like that) click yes.
  5. Put in the desired save name and try to save.

It is obvious why this was a problem, but the program went into complete shut down mode like I have never seen before. When I opened again later all the other files I had opened at the time were gone and some old files were open, so I guess the program reverted to the old data for what files should be open.

Hope this is specific enough. Not a big deal, just thought it could be handled more cleanly.
