#4185 SQL: Ampersand (&) will be invisible

  • create a new file and select SQL as language (or open an existing sql-file)
  • put in the following code:
    select * from tabelle1 t where t.name = &abc;
  • the ampersand (&) will be invisible (shown as space)

In other editors (as notepad.exe) it will be shown correct.

PS: For PL/SQL (Oracle) a &abc will a variable that would be requested from the user if he runs the select in the PL/SQL Developer.
