I'm using NP++ 6.2.2 (UNICODE) with "Compare" plugin 1.5.6.1.

  • I'm comparing 2 files (for example 2 PHP files) using Plugins/Compare/Compare
  • I restore the original view using Plugins/Compare/Clear Results.
  • I loose the PHP syntax highlighting colors, but the "PHP Language" is still checked in the Language menu.

I don't know if it is a NPP++ problem or a plugin problem...

    I can reproduce this same error with version 6.3 of Notepad++ and version
    1.5.6 of the Compare plugin. On a Windows 8 64bit laptop.

    I'm also experiencing this problem with Notepad++ v. 6.3.1 and Compare Plugin v. 1.5.6: When comparing two highlighted Fortran files via Alt+D the highlightning is lost and can be retained in either of the files only by making changes to it. System: Windows 7 Enterprise, 64 bit.

    I'm also running into this issue on a 64-bit machine (Win7 Pro), with NP++ v6.3.3 (Unicode), and v1.5.6 of the Compare plugin. The syntax highlighting disappears up until the first difference, and after I exit comparison mode all the syntax highlighting disappears. Strangely enough this does not happen on my other Win7 Pro 64-bit machine, but it is running NP++ v5.9.5 (Unicode) with Compare v1.5.6.
