Hi!
I read about the kernel limitation to collect statistics just
for devices with major < 16. Now i adjusted the
DK_MAX_MAJOR and DK_MAX_DISK both to 255 but
my slave disk on the forth ide channel (hdh) is still not
recognized (no statistics in /proc/stat).
I know its not exactly the correct place to post, but has
anybody got an idea how to fix that.
btw. hdh is the only disk that is running as slave device.
i thought that it might be, because slave devices have
minor numbers from 64 upwards (thats why i adjusted
the DK_MAX_DISK value), but there seems to be no
difference. did i get something wrong?

thanks for your help and time in advance.

Yours

With noflushd 2.7 and recent 2.6 kernels DK_MAX_MAJOR tuning
    is no longer necessary.
