It would make it much easier to integrate form submission results into existing web pages that have many, many graphic links. I've taken over some web sites for clients where it is very difficult to modify the existing web page so it works correctly in the TFmail configuration/template/library files location. Being able to manage the HTML templates separate from the other files would make things much easier.
Does the HTMLFILE_ROOT location apply to this issue? I haven't found documentation that describes when or how the HTMLFILE_ROOT function can be used.

No, the .trt files and the .trc file should be in the same directory, as
they're all config files.
