NLSO-ADDRESS, Global Address Database / News: Recent posts

we have released a planning pre-release of our addressbook application, this is to demonstrate what we have planned
we are looking for others to join us to make this a fully functional & useful project

This project has been re-focused
The PHP code is now part of nlso-web, but this is only part of the picture
This project now focuses on creating the Address book for the desktop, one which will interact with the global servers to share & search out geo-data to complete address information
Sharing of the data will be to street level
Email address, name, phone no. etc will NOT be shared, it will remain private
The other element to develop later is the shared address server, which will be a server app for business to share client address data across a company network, with of course access control lists

This project is now abandoned as it is fully integrated into NLSO-WEB

Due to the close ties between these projects and their dependencies on each other, I have integrated the PHP code into NLSO-WEB which is a more complete project

the web site was down for a long time while I done an extensive rewrite of the code
I have rewritten all essential routines in OOP classes to reduce maintenance and ease future development

The website is now online!
The site is built using NLSO-Web http://nlso-web.sf.net so it is multilingual
