This is the french translation of all the QString declared via tr() in the source of NifSkope. The file NifSkope_fr.ts has to be put in the lang directory. The patch has to be applied to nifskope.cpp for compiling a binary able to use the translation files.

After applying the patch, do a "qmake-qt4 -project" in order to refresh the project with the new translation file and do a "lupdate lang/*.ts" to create the *.qm files. Finally, you can compile as classical to get a Nifskope able to detect the locale and to adapt to it.

Many thanks for the patch. I ran

    lupdate NifSkope.pro
    lrelease NifSkope.pro

and then the german ts files was updated and the qm files were created.

This may sound silly, but how to I enable these translations in nifskope? I tried setting my input language to "FR" but nifskope still showed in English... Perhaps it is because I was testing on windows (will try linux later).

Tazpn, I'm attaching a patch including of course xgendre's patch but also with the required updates for the windows installer and the project file. Nifskope.cpp may need some work to get the translations recognized on windows (unless I was doing something stupid trying to set my own locale... :) )

Never mind, I had to change the language in "regional settings", "standards and formats", not in "input language"... It works!

Tazpn has committed this, so I'm closing this issue.
