specifically within the Vertex color array, I have found that all my export options (whether it be maya, blender etc) dont ever seem to export to the latest .nif version. As I find the obj export/import method works fine for me this is not a problem until I try to get back my Vertex color info.

A way around this would be the ability to open an old .nif export (with color values intact) then copy those to the newly imported obj mesh (later version .nif file)

the ability to copy/paste these colour values between properties would effectively kill the need to require a new .nif exporter as I could just copy values to the new file from within nifskope. I find chaning the values on each vert rather tiresom and extremely unproductive.

Ok, lets clarify a few things first. What if old/new vertex color array size differs - what should NifSkope do in that case? For example you copied 4 vertex color values and you're pasting into an array with size 3 or 5? Disable "paste" in that case?
The design of NifSkope 1 doesn't allow for generic copy/paste implementation so it will work with Vertex Color array only? Or are you having some other idea in mind as well?

While clarifying the idea, I'll try to implement some copy/paste to see how things will look.
