I want to use lossy transmission line in NgSpice. I got the model txl in manual as below.
Y1 1 0 2 0 ymod LEN=2
.MODEL ymod txl R= 12 . 45 L = 8.972e−9 G=0 C= 0.468e−12 length =16
I am confused with len and length as it is not properly explained in manual.
Also as we are already specifying value of R,L,G and C so I am assuming that it will calculate delay on its own depending upon value of this component. Please let me know if my assumption is wrong.
in a first glance I would say that your RLGC model will describe a 16m line and you are using 2 parts of them, means 32m.
But I saw in simulation the scaling is not exchangable.
These kspice models are in experimental state. Make your own experiments and share your experiences.
We are actually trying to model lossy tranmission line.
Does the reolution limit is only 1ps in transient analysis?
