    I compiled nfc. The server starts just fine. But I
    get this error below when trying to start the client.
    Please help.

    I believe the error you are getting is due to X not being present. Do you have X installed on the machine
    you're trying to run the client on?

    You should be able to use the client as an applet, using your web browser. Or, by running it on a
    workstation that has X installed (or a Windows machine).
