There is a series of scripts in the package_scripts which does some things like editing the version prior to packaging. I don't have a source-rpm package.

Maybe I misunderstood what you were asking for. The spec file I use to package the binary is in https://github.com/baumgarr/Nixnote2/blob/master/package_scripts/rpm/nixnote2.spec.
