Has anyone been able to use any version of Network Miner in a Windows XP SP2 environment running in VMWorkstation?

Not sure what you are trying to do.

If you wanna run the NetworkMiner GUI in the virtual machine to analyze a pcap file, then all you need to do is to ensure that you have installed the  on the virtual machine. More info about running .

I use it with VMWare Workstation. I run Network Miner on the Host OS and point it at the NAT address assigned to the VMWare Guest OS (on my setup it's "VMnet8")

You can also run it within a VMWare session, but you have to install the WinPCAP library first.
