Dear Netgen Developers and Users,
I am using Netgen to create meshes of cubes with complex inclusions.
The polyhedrons which represent the inclusions are generated by an extern application and are therefore available as a boundary representation, similar to the "polyhedron" primitive of the Netgen CSG description.
First I tried to use existing geometry tools like GTS (http://gts.sourceforge.net/) to create a single STL file describing the resulting solid. This didn't work acceptable due to numerical limitations of the use librarys.
Therefore i tried to use the Netgen CSG Module to create my final solid. This worked on a modest level of complexity of the inclusions. With increasing complexity, the Netgen CSG Module fails to generate a mesh.
Here is an example of an CSG file I tried to mesh: http://pastebin.com/zAL0yx1j
Is there a specific reason for the failure? Can you recommend any other process/way to generate the meshes I need?
thanks in advance,
