Hello, I installed netatalk on openSuSE 11.3. (v2.0.3). It works, but I need some special settings and cannot find out how to get the urgently wanted result: .) I have no security needs, but I need collaboration-friendly behaviour of files and directories. Currently the directories created by users have the following rights: drwxrwsrwx 6 username users 272 25. Okt 16:57 directory-name Files created by a user have the following rights: -rw-r--r-- 1 username users 6148 23. Nov 16:10 .DS_Store I currently use the following options in /etc/netatalk/AppleVolumes.default: /srv/archiv "Archiv" options:noadouble, usedots volcharset:UTF8 What I want, are following settings: Files : -rw-rw-r-- Directories : drwxrwxrwx I don't know what the "sticky bit" is used used for, nor do I know how to get the wanted file rights. Samba allows me to overrule file and direktory rights on creation, so I an relatively sure that something similar will be available on netatalk, too. Please, be so kind and help, I lost meanwhile many hours with searching the Internet and couldn't find anything useful. |
