Hi, Since the beta we have a lot of small fixes and a big one (CJK encoding): Open issues - CJK code :( ------------- I'm reluctant about this one. Not because it doesn't work, it does, but because it changes conversion rules for other encoding. I think that something like: 2.0.3 weird_unix_name --> to client --> weird_osx_name weird_osx_name --> from client --> weird_unix_name After an upgrade 2.0.4 weird_unix_name --> to client --> weird_osx_name_b weird_osx_name_b --> from client --> weird_unix_name_b is possible, ie it doesn't round trip and we have dancing icons: afp_enumerate return a filename but a following afp_getfilparms return a file not found error. I don't know if it's likely though, it's only in corner cases. Nonetheless I've checked the code so we can test it compiles and with a four years release cycle we can't let it bit rote until 2013. - papd ------ Who is still using papd? papd is from a time when applications were expected to well behave... There's a lot of frightening pointers arithmetic on buffers under users control. I can fix most of them but I can't really test them, I don't use papd. - default permission -------------------- New volume 'perm' option helps but it doesn't solve all cases, ie want 0770 for directories but 0660 for files. A small change would be: add fperm (files) and dperm (directories) options. - Documentation --------------- The documentation build system is lost but it needs update for new options. Comments? Didier PS Andrew: Is it possible to know how many downloads of the beta tarball? |
