It is getting stranger and stranger. I have a samba running on the same machine (the tru64 NFS client) and =20= the connection down the NFS mount works like a charm from a WinXP. On the Mac using afp and clicking into the NFS mount locks up the =20 Finder. If I try to connect from Mac using smb:// I can get into the folder =20 but it then suddenly locks up and I get the message that the =20 connection to the server is interrupted. 31 aug 2006 kl. 16.13 skrev didier: > Le jeudi 31 ao=FBt 2006 =E0 14:39 +0200, Bengt Nilsson a =E9crit : >> Hey, you addressed the NFS issue before I had a chance to report that >> we had such a connection. >> Any more comments about this, in relation to my previous answer? >> >> =46rom the terminal you don't use locking, or do you mean that if =20 >> you have > a shell connection to the afp server then it works for OSX clients? > > I'm a bit puzzled by "it works for a while" but maybe it works =20 > until you > hit the nfs mounted folder? > > It could be a DNS timeout or access rules (tcpwrapper?), missing =20 > lockd. > good luck. > > Didier > > > > ----------------------------------------------------------------------=20= > --- > Using Tomcat but need to do more?
