Netatalk's support for sharing volumes which are subdirectory (lingo: 'nested') of another volume is somewhat brittle. Basically the only supported configuration which ensures CNID consistency is to require that the nested volume must be made 'read-only' and use the CNID backend 'last'.
It would be nice if our volume parsing function creatvol() would detect this situation and automatically adjust the config.
