In 5.0.7 on solaris and linux the process name that ps
shows is sometimes different than is what is needed in
your "proc" directives in your snmpd.conf files. This
patch shoudl help people trying to figure out what the
proper name is.
First, on linux, it uses the same /proc file that ps uses to
determine the process name. It's likely to fix everyones
problems on linux.
For Solaris and Linux both, you can now run snmpd with
the -Dproc flag to get it to print out debugging information
to see what snmpd *thinks* a process name is so you
can look for an exact match.
