Bugs item #749679, was opened at 2003-06-05 19:33 Message generated for change (Comment added) made by nba You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=112694&aid=749679&group_id=12694 Category: None Group: None Status: Open >Resolution: Invalid Priority: 5 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) >Assigned to: Niels Baggesen (nba) Summary: Index out of range error on matrix objects that exist Initial Comment: When doing a snmpGet or a snmpGetNext for a certain matrix object (ie. matrixSDPkts), an error is returned stating "index out of range" for the third part of the MAC address. But When looking in the MIB Browser, the entry exists and if a Get or a GetNext is issued, the right entry is retreived. ie. snmpGetNext -v2c -cpublic 10.11.3.237 matrixSDPkts.1.0.160.36.55.218.221.0.32.175.240.80.56 returns matrixSDPkts.1.0.160.36.55.218.221.0.32.175.240.80.56: Unknown Object Identifier (Index out of range: 160 (matrixSDDestAddress)) even though this entry exists. Upon further investigation, it was found that the Index out of range error occurs as low as 114. If the third part of the MAC Address was 113 or lower, the right result would be returned. Any comments regarding this problem would be greatly appreciated! This is snmpget when it parses the oid that decides that there is something something wrong. You are missing a length octet in front of each of the the mac addresses. The MIB does not specify them as IMPLIED so this is required. The proper oid would be matrixSDPkts.1.6.0.160.36.55.218.221.6.0.32.175.240.80.56 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=112694&aid=749679&group_id=12694 |
