    It shouldn't be doing that by default, certainly, as by default it should only be listening.

    The questions, then, are:

    • what version are you using?
    • how did you configure it when you built it
    • What does your config file look like (without secrets in it like community strings?)
    • do you have a large route table?
    • how often is the machine being polled?
