i have been juggling with the idea of using LARLR or
whatever it is (the language they use to define
languages) for generating syntax highlight definitions?
would this be feasible? i mean LARLLRLRLRL whatever
descriptions for languages are published usually with
the language so they are abundant , just cut and paste
and generate a template to fill the colors in.

    Looks like some kind of Lisp. NEdit has a regex engine, but
    no Lisp parser, so this will most probably never happen.

    Besides, I doubt that any automatic process could be as
    useful as patterns developed by humans.
