Summary:

If a search and replace (Replace/Find) operation
uses a regex for the search and the resultant found
string (current match) exceeds 511 characters, then:

- Replace & Find does not replace the
current match, but instead finds the next match.

- Replace (Replace Again in the menu) does not
replace the current match, but replaces the next
match.

Aside: I haven't tested the behavior with a non-regex
search which exceeds 511 characters (would anyone use
one that long?).

See also bug 1015499 which is related.

Orphanizing it again, my fix for #1015499 will not help here.
