5.5RC2-Linux-i686 binary ignores ctrl-<pgup> and
ctrl-<pgdown> to
switch between tabbed windows. I built the source for
5.5RC2 myself and I get the same error.

I'm using icewm on slackware 9.1.
ctrl-<pgup> and ctrl-<pgdown> do work with tabbed
windows in mozilla on the same hardware & software.

If you would like to try a fix, I would be happy to
patch and recompile and let you know.

Does 5.4 have the same problem, or does it seem new in 5.5?
If it's old, I bet the problems are virtual keybindings
    again. Try

    xprop -root | grep _MOTIF_DEFAULT_BINDINGS

    and send the output. Also,

    xprop -root -remove _MOTIF_DEFAULT_BINDINGS

    and then restart nedit.

    OH HECK, I am an idiot. I defined ctrl-pgup / ctrl-pgdown to
    move between
split panes. I moved my .nedit file to another name,
rechecked, and things work just fine. Yikes, I'll be a bit
    more careful next time.
