In the new 5.4 RC1 release, the second "Enter" key
(right bottom of the keyboard) no longer runs the shell
command written on the line.

Instead, it inserts a <cr> character.

This problem occured with the aix 43 build

    Working as redesigned. From the Changelog:

    * source/nedit.c (1.38): Fix for SF #649442: Dangerous shell
    command. Changed the shortcut for "Execute Command Line"
    from "KP Enter" to "Ctrl+KP Enter" to avoid accidental
    execution of arbitrary commands.

    and

    * doc/: faq.txt (1.4), faq.xml (1.5): Added a Q&A about the
    changed binding of KP Enter (execute command line).

    While this was intentional, perhaps the KP Enter key should
    insert a real newline instead of useless <CR>?

    Presumably fixed in the BETA-5-4 branch.
