#269 Program blows away when trying to open a second file

OS: Red Hat Linux version 9
Kernel: 2.4.20-9
Windows Manager: KDE version 3.1-11 Red Hat

1) Run nedit <filename> in termianl window
2) File->open
Segmentation fault

Any ideas?

    This is a duplicate of #703246.

    Try setting the environment variable LANG to en_US before
    starting nedit:
    export LANG=en_US
    nedit (if you are using bash)
    or
    setenv LANG en_US
    nedit (if you are using (t)csh)

    Does this solve your problem ?

    BTW: the upcoming 5.4 release contains a workaround.
