NEdit version 5.1.1

uname -a
SunOS ops-dev4 5.6 Generic_105181-19 sun4u sparc
SUNW,UltraSPARC-IIi-cEngine

NEdit frequently segfaults on my machine. This
happens when I have a few different files open at the
same time and I am swapping between files.

Often when I try to open a file the dialogue box opens
on a different NEdit window, a related problem is that
it often saves to the wrong file. When this happens I
try to close the files down and it core dumps. This
happened with the last version I had too, although I
can't remember the version number.

Cheers,

Andy MacInnes

I have the same problem on uname -a
    SunOS viws81 5.7 Generic_106541-12 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-80

If i activate highlighting in the default settings
i can open only 2 files (vhdl) and on the 3. it
segfaults. If i activate highligting manualy for each
file is much stabler. The crash occours most on
    save or open files.

Well, if you get core dumps then you should always
    provide a stack trace.
Other than that I can't see how one should be able to debug
this if it can't be reproduced.

If no further info comes in, we can't address this.
For 5.2 it's anyway too late now ...
