Let's say you use the "Find" dialog, the incremental
search line or the undo/redo feature: When nedit
scrolls
to display the found resp. changed section it only
scrolls
to make the cursor at the end of the selection visible
but not the section itself.

As an example, delete a few lines in the upper part
of a lengthy text file. Scroll down, then undo and you
will just see a blinking cursor but not the re-inserted
section.

BTW: This also "works" with horizontal scrolling.
