Show cover image on facing screen when scrolling through titles. Could use separate image folder or store in book folder with same name as text, but with image extension, etc. Continue to use DSLibris splash when no image is available.
Doesn't DSLibris already use a bit of PNG rendering code for the splash screen? If so, why not simply tweak that code to look for a PNG file with the same name as the XHT file currently highlighted? Seems that would be a lot simpler than trying to write a whole pile of new code for epub support.

Re: comment from nobody: the motivation for EPUB support is not to provide images -- it is for the core function, being to read books. Displaying images within the EPUB is more structured than any other approach and will require no extra actions on the users' part and will come as a bonus.

It can be usefull to see the image book also because sometimes the "writer" of the book can be read.
In clear I think addind Ex. Title & Author name in the book list was a must but if you add the book image it can do the job ! It must be added to complete the title !

This may get included in the proposed epub support. In that case cover art will come from the epub file.

Plan to support this in the second version of the EPUB support feature. Since the first version is far from done it is a ways off.

Do this while doing 3080025.
Re: nobody's comment: agreed, we don't want to write a mess of code to render images. The splash screen is not a PNG.
