I seem to be having some trouble with ndiswrapper 1.22. Yes Giri, I
have read the wiki. When I modprobe ndiswrapper it causes a kernel
panic. I checked with the Linux guys to make sure it wasn't a kernel
issue. Alan Cox himself confirmed that everything looked alright from
my log files. When I modprobe ndiswrapper I get...
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill the idle task
That message appears several times over and then the system reboots.
The same thing occurs with acpi=noirq and acpi=off. I am using Arch
Linux 0.72 with kernel 184.108.40.206 and both the kernel and ndiswrapper
were compiled with GCC 4.0.3. Any help, ideas, suggestions would be
appreciated. Thank you for your time.

It would help if you give details (such as which chipset, Windows
driver, whether x86 or x86_64 etc).
1.23 was released couple of days ago. If you still have issues with
that, give details, as per wiki entry Bugs. If using x86 (32-bit),
make sure you have 4k stacks disabled in kernel.
