Hi guys, some weeks ago I have updated to ndiswrapper 1.1, since then I always had problems. Problems: a) sometimes I have to boot a couple of times until I'm able to use the device b) if the device is up , after short periods of use the device can't be accessed anymore(no data goes in and out) and I have to reboot to be able to use my wlan card again. Sometimes it is enough to load and unload the module, but sometimes this method causes a kernel oops. Solution: reverting back to 0.12 fixes the problem for me again. I have monitored this for several weeks. I had 0.12 running for month without a problem before I switched to 1.1. With 1.1 those probs came up usually within an hour. Now back to 0.12 the connection is up and running for about 2 days. My Hardware: Netgear WG311v2 54Mbps WLAN Card, WinXP Driver 1.0.1.7. I made sure I always reinstalled the driver after replacing ndiswrapper versions. Attached is the output of ndiswrapper-buginfo and a little log that I always create in my startup script with command: wpa_supplicant -Dndiswrapper -iwlan0 -c/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf > /tmp/wlan.txt 2>&1 This helps me monitor any problems with wpa_supplicant. The output in this file was created when I used ndiswrapper 1.1, with 0.12 I never get these messages. Grüße GP P.S. I tried the latest driver from netgear, but that doesn't change anything. |

I have a very similar problem with the Linksys WMP54G (Broadcom 4306) and the same problems with the same drivers. I suggest you try 1.2 release candidate - I am going to try that at the weekend to see if it fixes my issues....
