I know this is a bit stupid, but if you are pointed to a Microsoft Windows driver that happens to be an .exe file, how do I extract the .inf file from it (especially if it is an executable program that installs files for you automatically on a Windows machine.) I know some .exe files are self-extracting zip files, which makes things easy, but it is not obvious from looking at the driver .exe file what it is (and the web page offering it as a download might not document it.) If you have access to a windows machine, 7-zip can extract files from .exe files. Doug |
