1.5-rc1 has just been uploaded. This fixes SMP issues. If you have SMP box, test this and report problems. Even USB devices may work with SMP. However, since I don't have SMP box, I have tested a few devices with SMP + PREEMPT kernel on UP box only. Following is short summary of changes since 1.4: * SMP issues fixed. * Zero-copy for sending packets implemented. * It is possible to compile ndiswrapper if USB is not enabled in kernel, without support for USB devices. * Even if USB is enabled in kernel, ndiswrapper can be compiled with 'make DISABLE_USB=1' to disable support for USB devices. * If a device doesn't resume properly (from suspend), de-initialize device so it can be initialized later. This fixes issue with suspend/resume with Marvell driver. With this release, Marvell 64-bit driver should work. However, removing module with this driver crashes kernel. If you have Marvell driver with 64-bit, enable debug and submit debug trace (including oops message) so this issue can be fixed. -- Giri |
