I tried to use Ndiswrapper with the Netgear WG111T. I
WG111T_re1.2_rc1 from Netgear's website
Kernel 188.8.131.52 SMP using UDEV
Initially the device was ignored when plugged in. No
Wlan0 device was created or kernel messages appeared.
When installed, the conf file was named
1385:4250.0.conf Checking the usb device I found that
it should have been 1385.4251.0.conf. When I rename
it, the device was recognized and the following
message appeared in the kernel log (dmesg).
usb 1-1: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and
ndiswrapper version 1.2 loaded (preempt=yes,smp=yes)
ndiswrapper: driver netwg11t
ndiswrapper (NdisWriteErrorLogEntry:314): log:
C0001389, count: 4 (de3cf600), return address:
ndiswrapper (ndiswrapper_add_usb_device:363): Windows
driver couldn't initialize the device (C0000001)
ndiswrapper: probe of 1-1:1.0 failed with error -22
usbcore: registered new driver ndiswrapper
I am not sure if this is helpful or not. I use
ndiswrapper with both Dlink GWL 120 and SMC'S
SMC2862W-G wireless adapters. SMC's adapter appears to
work quite well and is cheap.
Thank you for the great job you are doing.
