I installed ndiswrapper for my Broadcom wireless
and it worked well -- at least in the beginning.
After a few minutes (haven't been able to measure
yet how long it takes), the network stops. The drivers
are loaded, the interfaces are up (I have wireles in
eth0 and wire in eth1 -- not plugged in), everything
seems fine, but there is no actual connection anylonger
(between the laptop and any computer in the net).
If I leave a window running, say, ping, the connection
is never lost, but if I don't access the net for a while,
the connection eventually drops.
I have the following iwconfiguration:
eth0 IEEE 802.11g ESSID:"MyNet#"
Mode:Managed Frequency:2.442GHz Access Point: 00:02:2D:04:7B:BC
Bit Rate=11Mb/s Tx-Power:25 dBm
RTS thr=2347 B Fragment thr=2346 B
Encryption key:"MyPassword" Security mode:restricted
Link Quality:100/100 Signal level:-79 dBm Noise level:-256 dBm
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
Tx excessive retries:3 Invalid misc:314 Missed beacon:0
Where, "MyNet#" and "MyPassword" are, of course, not the actual
Any ideas?! Thanks,
Guilherme (please, respond to me directly)
