I can not make my wifi card working on Gentoo 64. I have nx6125 HP, Broadco=
BXM4318 AirForce One 54g.
Please can u tell me how to make it working?? I wanna scan SSID, so
sometimes I dont know it. I got many wireless connections here, so I dont
use one. Can it be configurated with iwconfig?? With ndiswrapper...???

I run Gentoo on a handful of boxes, one of them AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2
Dual Core. In the past I've successfully used ndiswrapper on several
boxes that had Broadcom chips, but I've never had reason to try the
Athlon and not on that perticular card on a any of my Intel boxes. I
suggest that you read the installation instructions and FAQ carefully -
although I personally think ndiswrapper rocks, it is currently not
exactly noob-friendly Unless you are lucky), so it may require that you
invest some time...
If you don't want to invest time, you may prefer to pay for linuxant's
version - comes with support. It tried it before ndiswrapper was started
and it was OK, but I later switched to ndiswrapper. Currently I'm lucky
to have a native driver (ipw2200). YMMV.

This isn't particularly ndiswrapper related in my experience. There are
separate tools for scanning/wardriving if that is your goal, but if all
you want is to magically select config depending on your closes AP you
can read up in /etc/conf.d/net.example & CO. You probably want something
modules=( "iwconfig" )
preferred_aps=( "XXXXX" "YYYYY" "ZZZZZ" )
associate_order=( "forcepreferred" )
# Network XXXXX
config_XXXXX=( "192.168.0.17 netmask 255.255.255.0" )
routes_XXXXX=( "default gw 192.168.0.255" )
dns_servers_XXXXX=( "192.168.0.1" "192.168.0.2" )
dns_domain_XXXXX=( "xxxxx.net" )
dns_search_domains_XXXXX=( "xxxxx.net other.net" )
# Network YYYYY
config_YYYYY=( "dhcp" )
and so on...
Good luck / Jonas
