Hi all, I'm writing this on my nice new eMachines m6809 running Fedora Core 2 x86_64. Everything works surprisingly well, except ndiswrapper. :-) I have my eth0 currently plugged into a Linksys WAP54G for wireless access to my wireless router. I'd love to use the onboard card. I've been very impressed with ndiswrapper with my old laptop and Linksys card. The current issue building 0.8 is this: {standard input}: Assembler messages: {standard input}:2008: Error: `(%esp,1)' is not a valid 64 bit base/index expression make[3]: *** [/usr/src/ndiswrapper-0.8/driver/misc_funcs.o] Error 1 make[2]: *** [_module_/usr/src/ndiswrapper-0.8/driver] Error 2 The current CVS version doesn't get this far. So the question: Is anyone working on making this work 64 bit? If not, does anyone want to? :-) I'm more than happy to help as much as I can, but I haven't written any firmware in over 10 years. :-) At minimum, I'll be happy to test whatever needs testing. Just let me know what is needed. -Eric ;-) -- Eric Princen BoaterTalk, Inc. |
