Hi, I'm having some problems getting the Belkin F5D6001au working with ndiswrapper. I downloaded & compiled the latest cvs with the DEBUG flag on (btw, what's up with declaring variables halfway through a function in C? easy to fix, but strange to see it there) and tried with the Belkin drivers on the cd. Anyway, when I try to modprobe ndiswrapper, I get this from dmesg: ndiswrapper version 0.4+CVS loaded ndiswrapper adding bel6001.sys ExInitializeNPagedLookasideList --UNIMPLEMENTED-- ExInterlockedPopEntrySList --UNIMPLEMENTED-- Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 00000044 printing eip: d0926d7b *pde = 00000000 Oops: 0002 CPU: 0 EIP: 0010:[<d0926d7b>] Tainted: P EFLAGS: 00010286 eax: 00000044 ebx: cccf4000 ecx: 00000000 edx: 00000960 esi: 00000048 edi: 00000030 ebp: ccdc3e2c esp: ccdc3df4 ds: 0018 es: 0018 ss: 0018 Process loadndisdriver (pid: 589, stackpage=ccdc3000) Stack: 00000000 d095c000 0ccf4000 d09355a8 ccef1160 00000960 00000000 00000044 00000048 00000000 00000000 00000001 c000009a 00000000 ccdc3e48 d0931dc0 00000000 d09296f0 ccdc3eac 00000000 d095c000 c12d7400 d09246e3 ccdc3e70 Call Trace: [<d09296f0>] [<d09246e3>] [<d09253b9>] [<c0202ce1>] [<c0202d44>] [<d09255ef>] [<d0925cd1>] [<c013b591>] [<c013baf0>] [<c012f9e4>] [<c012e9b5>] [<c013b519>] [<c0106be3>] [<d092002b>] Code: 89 18 8b 44 24 08 89 06 c7 46 04 00 00 00 00 5b 5e 59 c2 14 The machine stays responsive, except that every "ifconfig" command I try hangs. I'm using Debian testing/unstable, and Linux version 2.4.24. MODVERSIONS is off (which required a makefile change in ndiswrapper to get it to compile). lspci -vv gives: 01:03.0 Ethernet controller: Unknown device 1799:6001 (rev 20) Subsystem: Unknown device 1799:6001 Control: I/O+ Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr- Stepping- SERR- FastB2B- Status: Cap+ 66Mhz- UDF- FastB2B+ ParErr- DEVSEL=medium >TAbort- <TAbort- <MAbort- >SERR- <PERR- Latency: 32 (8000ns min, 16000ns max), cache line size 08 Interrupt: pin A routed to IRQ 12 Region 0: I/O ports at b000 [size=256] Region 1: Memory at d5040000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=256] Capabilities: [50] Power Management version 2 Flags: PMEClk- DSI- D1+ D2+ AuxCurrent=375mA PME(D0-,D1+,D2+,D3hot+,D3cold+) Status: D0 PME-Enable- DSel=0 DScale=0 PME- Any ideas? Information on this card is a bit sketchy. Cheers, Mark -- Our students often complain that their programs don't work, this is normal. But they know that they should address the problem fully documented, with sources, traces etc. to their teacher, otherwise they are shot and thrown out of the window. -- Jerzy Karczmarczuk |
