Hello, > # ip link set wlan0 up > # iwconfig wlan enc <key> > # ip link set wlan0 down > # ip link set wlan0 up No, the WEP key is still set, and the essid is there after ifconfig down and ifconfig up So # ip link set wlan0 up # iwconfig wlan enc <key> # ip link set wlan0 down # ip link set wlan0 up leads to a working connection If the card disconnects the way many users describe, the key is still correct, but the essid is lost and the card does not re-associate. Today I noticed that setting the Key again without re-loading the module does not work. I can send a debug output tomorrow. The command sequence that leads to a broken connection is: # modprobe ndiswrapper # loadndisdriver driver.sys driver.inf (or loadndisdriver with the version giri mailed to me) #iwconfig wlan enc/key key restricted #ifconfig up or #dhcpcd This works for 10 secounds, long enough to get a IP with dhcp. The connection is also dropped when just doing a ifconfig up. Transfering something, I tried a ping, does not prevent the connection from beeing dropped. I have not testet Giris patch, I'll try tomorow |
