Hi... NDISWRAPPER is running great when I load it manually, but I can't seem to get it to automate even though I've followed the steps as best as I could. I'm using Xandros 2.0 with kernel 2.4.22 - NDISwrapper works great manually... but I need some help to automate it... here is what I've been trying. I'm fairly new to using Linux... but have managed to get NDISwrapper working great. The instructions mentioned to step b) Create alias for the interface: alias ethX ndiswrapper In /etc/modutils/aliases I added the line: # Wireless (Broadcom 4301 NDISwrapper) alias eth1 ndiswrapper then in /etc/modules.conf I added the line: ### 802.11b Wireless (NDISwrapper) post-install eth1 /usr/local/bin/loaddriver 14e4 4301 /usr/local/share/ndiswrapper/bcmwl5.sys /usr/local/share/ndiswrapper/bcmwl5.inf but when I reboot it doesn't work and I have to manually reload the drivers and set IWCONFIG... then I am running wirelessly again... please let me know what I did wrong. Where in the /etc/modules.conf should I add that liine? Did I load it in the wrong spot? Did I create the alias in the right place? thanks for your help!
