Hi! I have installed the ndiswrapper-utils -package 0.10 from Ubuntulinux/Debian successfully and could configure it, so that I got the message: usr11g hardware present. The card is a USR 5410 PCMCIA. Then I typed ndiswarpper -m. Trying to type "modprobe ndiswrapper" I got the message: "FATAL: Module ndiswrapper not found". I can locate the ndiswrapper file in etc/modprobe.d/. The built LED has no light but the card is identified by my device manager. I tried depmod -a, set the ndiswrapper-link with -ln from /usr/sbin to sbin. I deactivated ACPI in order to avoid possible conflicts and followed the guidelines and faqs offered on www.ndiwrapper.sourceforge.org. I also found messages regarding a possible problem with the 2.6.-kernel on http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=70 . Typing dmesg after reading this I got the message listed at the bottom of this text. The difference between the message reported on this website is that my card seems to have been lodaded in some way by the expermental kernel-driver. rmmod ndiswrapper said that the module ndiswrapper does not exist in /proc/modules. Indeed there is no file called ndiswrapper in this directory. The bootup-protocol tells me that ndiswrapper is loaded. But instead of a white star opening the line of other active modules a red star appears. Has someone an idea what went wrong during installation and configuration?
