Hi Helio, keep your LinkSys WMP54G! I tired some different cards and they didn't work on my Pentium 90, so I returned to the WMP54G. If lspci reports a unknown device it is reporting at least something, that is a very good sign! The LED on the back of the card seems to have a double function. If you think it isn't lid watch it while loading ndiswrapper (modprobe ndiswrapper). Mine is getting even darker when I load the module. I think that is to pepare it for have it blinking during data transmission (but that is just a guess, right now) If I unload ndiswrapper (rmmod ndiswrapper) the LED is getting more brighter again. Try one of Dell's windows driver from the NDISwrapper-SupportedChipSet-Page for 14E4:4320 (compare this to your lcpci output ;-). Download this file http://ftp.us.dell.com/network/R63259.EXE unpack it to <ThisDir> with WinZip, FilZip, or any other programm you prefer for those things. I use the driver <ThisDir>/TMSetup/AR4/bcmwl5.inf for ndiswrapper -i <file>. The good thing is I can load the driver with out any crashes and can controll the card via iwconfig wlan0 <option> <parameter>. The bad part is it does not assosiate with my accesspoint which is a LinkSys WMA54G (yet). But I am working on it ;-) George (gpts AT gmx DOT de) -- -- Helio Pereira schrieb: > Hi all, > > Is here anyone who have an old pc (like Pentium or Pentium II) and a > PCI card wireless that works? > > All seems to need (Bus Type: PCI 2.2) and i think i dont have it at my > little Pentium II.
