Hello,
Please bear with me as I'm a complete Linux Newbie.

I'm running Ubuntu, with a dell 1450 usb wireless adapter.

I installed ndiswrapper v.1.18. I followed the direction to a tee and all looks good.

When I do a iwconfig here's what I get

eth2 IEEE 802.11b ESSID:""
Mode:Auto Channel=1 Access Point: Invalid
Sensitivity=0/200
Link Quality:0 Signal level:0 Noise level:0
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0

I type the "sudo iwconfig eth2 essid home123" and I still get the same output as above and don't get any errors.

if I do a "sudo ndiswrapper -l"

I get this:
"Installed drivers:
dellnic driver installed, hardware present"

when I do a " iwlist eth2 scan"
I get this:
"eth2 No scan results"

So, what am I doing wrong?  My ap is web enabled, and I typed in my key per the instructions, but that didn't help.

let me know if you need more information.

Thanks
Mark
