Just to be more specific I use this driver:
"ftp://ftp.work.acer-euro.com/notebook/aspire_5610/driver/Wireless Lan Driver 802bg Atheros XB63 Ver 5.3.0.35.zip"

and no, madwifi doesn't work for me

Hi. I didn't managed to edit the wiki page or login to the forums. I logged in but when I open a forum it showed me as guest. Anyway I'm posting here my results with getting the $Subject wireless working.

I needed the debian unstable package ndiswrapper-source ( 1.43-1). Earlier versions didn't worked with the driver.
Got the official WinXP Atheros driver from acer for my notebook and it works like a charm.

As well the switch is working without acer-acpi or acerhk which don't seem to do anything for me.
btw lspci shows the Atheros adapter with an unknown chip so I can't tell more information about it.

Anybody could include this information in the wiki.
