I'm using linksys WRT54G with Netgear wg311v2 as wireless network. It works perflecly in windows.
So I wanted to install it on Linux Fedora core 3 (fresh install).
iwlist wlan0 scan this works and my network is found.
But on Set the network name step :
iwconfig wlan0 essid ESSID where ESSID='O' in my case
I'm only at 3 step of completing config!!!! What the hell is happening?!
I hope someone will be able to answer my question.
Which version of the driver are you using?
And which version of ndiswrapper are you using?
Try to go back to 188.8.131.52 and give it a try.
also, have you modified your kernel to use 16k stack instead of a 4k stack?
Have you tried the former ndiswrapper release 0.12. I found out that I cannot use 1.1 with my wg311v2, so I had to downgrade to 0.12.
No I didn't
Perhaps ndiswrapper-1.2-rc1 will do the job?? But for now, cause I hate to configure Linux for ever to make things working, I use Windows. When I'll be able to make this work, I may consider using Linux more.
P.S. I Use Fedora Core 3 and, even if the most recent release, I still CAN'T use a wireless card. Very stupid.
