Newbie - Realtek 8139 problem

  • Kev

I'm trying to get my Realtek 8139 card to work using Xandros 3. It works perfectly under Windows and the card is recognised by Network Setup, it just won't talk to the network. Ndiswrapper comes preinstalled thank goodness and I'm trying to load a Windows driver. The drivers install OK but when I check with dmesg | grep ndiswrapper I get errors

If the postings are correct I should get something like:

    ndiswrapper version 0.12 loaded (preempt=yes,smp=no)
    ndiswrapper: using irq 11
wlan0: ndiswrapper ethernet device 00:0e:2e:06:ef:d7 using driver rtl8180.sys
ndiswrapper device wlan0 supports WPA with AES/CCMP and TKIP ciphers
    ndiswrapper: driver rtl8180.sys () added

    But I get:

ndiswrapper: no version for "struct_module" found: kernel tainted.
    ndiswrapper version 0.12 loaded (preempt=yes,smp=no)
    ndiswrapper (import:235): Unknown symbol: NDIS.SYS:NdisMIndicateStatus
    ndiswrapper (import:235): Unknown symbol: NDIS.SYS:NdisMIndicateStatusComplete
ndiswrapper (load_driver:2034): unable to prepare driver 'netrtl4'

(I'm trying to get a wired card talking not a wireless.)
    Any help appreciated
